Creativity is a Remix

Kirby Ferguson talks about how creativity is all a remix. On his Ted Talk he talks about how everything in the world now a days is simply a remix to everything back then. How taking something and remixing it is making something completely new. In his talk he even has a quote from Henry Ford saying ” I invented nothing new. I simply assembled the discoveries of other men behind whom were centuries of work… progress happens when all the factories that make for it are ready and then it is inevitable.”

Songs were a big discussion on his talk mostly about Bob Dylan, who was accused multiple times for stealing other peoples songs. Kirby also went on to talk about I phones, and Steve Jobs “new” multi-touch screen when a a guy before talks about how it isn’t a relatively new concept it just hasn’t been touched upon for a long time.
